The International Safe Transit Association lists Procedure 3A for individual parcel shipments within its stated mass range and Procedure 3B for common less-than-truckload shipment scenarios. Its descriptions make clear that distribution mode and package form drive procedure selection.

Match the test to the journey

A reusable protective case may travel as a parcel, on a pallet or in a mixed freight load. Each route exposes it to different handling and stacking conditions. Before requesting a certification claim, specify the packed mass, route, handling pattern and acceptance criteria.

  • Map the real distribution route before choosing a protocol.
  • Test the case with the equipment and interior configuration it will carry.
  • Keep a report identifying the exact sample and procedure edition.
